Jingjing (JJ) Xu is an actuarial and risk executive who helps global insurance companies navigate complexity and drive meaningful transformation. Throughout her career, she has led large scale regulatory change, technology modernization, financial reporting transformation, strategic initiatives, and enterprise risk programs that improved decision making, strengthened governance, and positioned organizations for long term success. She is passionate about bringing people together across disciplines, building high performing teams, and translating complex challenges into thoughtful, practical solutions.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, JJ has been deeply involved in initiatives that foster inclusion, leadership development, and community. She has served leadership roles supporting employee resource groups, inclusion and diversity initiatives, women's leadership, and professional actuarial organizations. She believes that investing in people is one of the most meaningful ways to create lasting impact.

Having benefited from opportunities that expanded her own perspective and changed the trajectory of her life, JJ believes deeply in the transformative power of education, mentorship, and intentional growth. Those experiences have shaped both her leadership philosophy and her commitment to serving mission-driven organizations such as LAJF.

JJ'S CRS STORY

I first discovered LAJF through BoardAssist while looking for a meaningful way to give back through board service. As I explored LAJF's philosophy of developing ethical leaders through service, cross-cultural understanding and shared community, I immediately felt connected to its mission. It reflected many of the values that have shaped both my personal journey and my philosophy of leadership.

As an immigrant, I've experienced how transformative it can be when someone believes in your potential and creates opportunities for you to grow. Those experiences taught me that leadership isn't simply about achievement; it's about curiosity, empathy, resilience, and using your gifts to create opportunities for others. Those are exactly the qualities LAJF intentionally cultivates in its young leaders.
