I’m currently serving as the President of the Board of the Louis August Jonas Foundation (LAJF), which runs Camp Rising Sun (CRS) — a full-scholarship summer leadership program for teenagers from all over the world — and The Ethical Leadership Experience (TELE), our virtual leadership program that expands access even further. I’m also in-house legal counsel at Spotify and a proud Brooklyn native now living in Manhattan. CRS has been one of the most meaningful constants in my life.

CINDY'S CRS STORY

I arrived at Camp Rising Sun in 1989—the very first summer of the girls’ program. Being surrounded by campers from around the world reshaped my understanding of leadership, friendship, and my own voice. Going from that first summer to now serving as President of the Board is one of the greatest honors of my life.

This year we celebrated our 95th anniversary, a powerful reminder of the community’s dedication and why this program continues to matter so deeply.

CRS brings young people together from around the world to build community and develop the skills and confidence to lead. It changed my life and continues to change lives every summer.
